Blinds

Brief

Provide a weather proof enclosure about the Vergola so as to allow the elderly residence to make daily use of the outdoor entertainment and recreational area regardless of the weather conditions.

Solution

Marine grade clear sheet PVC blinds with rope operation. Powder coated track was used to  provide a water seal and blend into the existing steel work. Removable centre supports were used to divide the longer spans into more manageable widths.

Response

The residence are able to enjoy the outdoor area on a daily bases and the ability to easily choose which blinds to have down depending on the direction of the wind and or the rain is a notable feature. The Vergola Roof System can be open to provide air flow whilst the clear blinds can be down to limit wind chill.

The blinds manually operation is easily for both staff and residence to use.
